Replicate home shares
I have a 6 year old ReadyNAS NV running 4.1.8. I am setting up a new ReadyNAS Pro 6 running 4.2.22 to replace the NV. I am replicating data from the old NV to the new Pro 6. I had no trouble replicating the media share data; however, I can't figure out how to replicate the home shares.
I spent 45 min. on the phone with Netgear support, and they have told me that it is not possible to replicate home shares between two ReadyNAS devices using FrontView. I am a little astounded by this, since copying data from one NAS to another seems to me to be standard system administration functionality.
Does anyone here in the forum have experience with replicating home shares?

It explains what I did. - christopher2AspirantThank you. The guide looks very impressive. I'll let you konw how it goes.
- christopher2AspirantTo replicate the home shares, I finally settled on doing a backup from the NV to an external drive and then restoring to the Pro 6. That worked like a charm.
