Revert ReadyNAS NV+ back from 4.1.8 to 4.1.7?
I installed new 4.1.8 firmware on my ReadyNAS NV+ yesterday, and now rsync appears to fail with numerous "gid is impossible to set on" file errors. From reading forums, it appears that rsync actually may be working correctly, but these numerous error messages are unacceptable. Question: Can I revert back to 4.1.7 without corrupting or losing data? Thanks.

You can downgrade to 4.1.7 from 4.1.8 without any issues with losing data.
