RN OS6.9.4 antivirus sending double virus emails

Besides all the existing reports of the antivirus being pretty useless, I've been getting two emails for every file detected.  One with no space after the parenthesis and one with space. This doubles the number of emails. Very annoying.

 

Antivirus scanner found a threat (Win.Virus.Sality-6801258-0) in the file /data/home/jonathan/Android/s4/Factory Wipe/Odin3-v3.09/Odin3 v3.09.exe. Please delete the infected file soon.

    Have you tried checking other softwares if it detects the same virus?

     

    You can report false positives to this site. Once confirmed they will update the database.

      You're a bit off topic.  Yes, I've check maybe 12 files flagged by ClamAV using virustotal.com and reported them as false positives.  No responses so far.

       

      Back on topic.  This is a bug report for the duplicate emails.  Every file detected results in two emails, the only difference being a space in the reported virus.  This doubles the number of emails and is very annoying.

        Good to hear you were able to report the false positives.

         

        A new update definition was provided according to another thread and that resolved the issue on getting the email alerts.

         

        I don't think the duplicate alerts has been observed on other users getting the alerts but it might have been due to ClamAV detecting two different virus/file. We tried checking but we do not receive duplicate emails.

         

        Hope everything is doing fine now, any bugs within alerts we will make sure to report it.
