Do you have the USB key with the encryption key connected to the NAS? The key needs to be connected for the volume to be able to mounted.
Sounds like you will need to contact support.

Ahh, I'd totally forgotten about the encryption USB. I hadnt realized its required for every power cycle. My mistake,
A new power cycle with the USB inserted & ALL the NAS data is available where I expected it. The enclosure and drives are working perfectly!
I would make a couple of minor observations:
- The use of the encryption USB is NOT in the hardware manual, which happened to be the one I resorted to It does contain the power on / power off details but no reminder to use the key.
- The use of the encryption USB is in the software manual, which I should have looked at. It mentions Re-Booting, but it really means when the power is turned on & its not exactly in your face in the document.
- On a restart with no key, the NAS gives no hint that the expected key was not inserted, the o/s must have known it was required. The actual messsages are really misleading, or at least they were for me.
To iterate, my concerns with the enclosure were unfounded, I'm pleased with the product so far.
