RN102 6.4.0 official firmware update not posted? Still 6.2.5
My RN102 informs me the 6.4.0 is available so I used OS6's update mechanism - which left it at 6.2.5. I did this twice with no "upgrade" performed.
I then looked to manually download the file ...

I am having a similiar problem. No matter what my OS doesn't upgrade. Whether I use the built in upgrade system or download that file manually and upload it never actually does the update.

when you do the manual update, do you receive any error messages?
Did you try a different browser to do the update?
Did you unzip the downloaded file?

How can I manually do the update if I can't acces the admin page ?
Yes I have tried 3 browsers with the same result, it's the NAS end where the problem lies
Yes I unzipped the download file
I have also made a recovery USB stick but not had any success with that either ...
Update: Just maged to reboot the NAS this morning and got the admin page to load, have followed the manual process to Upload ReadyNASOS-6.4.0-arm.img and it's just finsihed the upload and I clicked to reboot ... hasn't done it yet but fingers crossed this takes and works.

Yes a reboot is always worth a try.
I would not ever do a usb boot recovery unless you are specifically instructed by Netgear to do this.
It is always a last resort intervention when all other options have failed.
USB boot recovery can make things much worse.

I'm still waiting for it to reboot and see if the manual update takes correctly - the read/write LED is flashing quickly, the power button LED flashing slowly and the display shows "Rebooting ... see you soon" - so just letting it run in it's own time ...

Yes to all except no error message. Just reboots like normal every single time. Even if I use the built in update system it never updates.
