RN104 - Added disks, no new capacity

I set up my RN104 with 2 2TB disks using x-Raid.  My RN is on version 6.6.  It has worked fine but is down to 319 Gb free.  I added a 3rd 2TB disk, but did not see an increase in capacity.  Assuming ...

    1. Well you first need to backup your data. Trying to fix this by adding those disks into your array is likely to cause data loss with disk 2 in this state.
    2. You should backup your data, remove the bad disk, do a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) and restore your data from backup.

     

    The failing disk disk 2 is the disk that has your data on it. The other disks marked spare wouldn't contain your data.

    The ST2000DM001 disk model has very high failure rates. I would suggest replacing this disk with a different disk model.
