RN104 - Added disks, no new capacity
I set up my RN104 with 2 2TB disks using x-Raid. My RN is on version 6.6. It has worked fine but is down to 319 Gb free. I added a 3rd 2TB disk, but did not see an increase in capacity. Assuming ...

- Well you first need to backup your data. Trying to fix this by adding those disks into your array is likely to cause data loss with disk 2 in this state.
- You should backup your data, remove the bad disk, do a factory default (wipes all data, settings, everything) and restore your data from backup.
The failing disk disk 2 is the disk that has your data on it. The other disks marked spare wouldn't contain your data.
The ST2000DM001 disk model has very high failure rates. I would suggest replacing this disk with a different disk model.

Hi Mdgm,
I'm guessing that I should first deal with my failing dive as a priority. This appears to be the drive in channel 2. If I simply replace the disk in channel 2 with one of the 'spare's in channel 3 or 4, will the RN re sync automatically, without losing data?
