Hi Maximus360
Just want to check if other devices connected to your NETGEAR Switch can connect on the Internet. Is your NAS set on DHCP? You may want to try adding DNS Servers like google and your Gateway address.
Have you tried connecting your NAS directly to your router? Also, your NAS is running an old firmware so once everthing is set it would be best to update it.

Hi Marc
Yes i have connected my laptop to the same switch that the NAS is connected to and i can get out to the internet fine.
The NAS is configured with DHCP and gets all its IP settings from my BT home hub.
Currently my NAS has configured itself with one DNS IP which is 192.168.1.1. I am not sure if this is correct, my gateway is 192.168.1.254.
I have not yet tried connecting the NAS directly to the router..
Thanks
Mark

Try deleting DNS 192.168.1.1 in your NAS settings
Then add DNS 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 which are both google servers
You could also add your router 192.168.1.254 as well

Most home routers would use 192.168.1.1 for both the gateway and the DNS address. But it seems likely that DHCP is working properly, and your home router works a bit differently. You can confirm the settings in a Window PC by running CMD and then enter ipconfig /all That will give you both the DNS and gateway addresses.
FWIW, the two DNS servers bedlam1 is suggesting are the public DNS servers provided by Google. Sometimes they seem to work better if you are trying to use ReadyCloud.
I am wondering if your home router is also providing IPv6 addresses. You could try disabling IPv6 in the ReadyNAS, and see if that makes any difference.

Just realised more than one person is respomding, thanks guys :)
Stephen i have just read an article about IPv6 potentially causing problems, i will also check this tonight when i get home and make sure it is disabled.
Thanks again for all your support.
