RN104 with Multi-Drive eSATA/USB Enclosure
Trying to get the RN104 to work with a 2-bay eSATA/USB 3.0 enclosure. eSATA causes the RN104 to hang. I'm hoping to get some feedback on that issue here: viewtopic.php?f=65&t=78923 Windows wi...

Concerning the USB issue.
Last night I tried the drive enclosure on a RN314 and tested it with firmware 6.1.8 and 6.2.0 in FLEXraid.
eSATA behavior is noted here: viewtopic.php?f=65&t=78923
I also tested the enclosure on the 314 via USB and discovered a difference in how the two models handle multi-enclosures over USB.
USB was the other option for getting this enclosure to work with the 104.
Unfortunately, the 104 will only mount one drive at a time even if there are two drives in the enclosure. If two drives are in the enclosure, it will only mount the drive in the 1st bay. If the enclosure only has a disk in the second bay, it will mount that one. So the NAS can see both bays, but refuses to mount both drives at the same time.
When I connected the enclosure to the RN314 via USB with both drives installed, it magically mounted both drives as external storage without issue!
This is what I need it to do on the 104. So what is preventing the 104 from working over USB while the 314 does it perfectly? Can the 104 be made to behave like the 314 does with multi drive USB enclosures?
Looking for suggestions, I'll also raise the issue with support.
