ReadyNAS stop recognizing newly attached eSATA or USB storage
ReadyNAS 516 Firmwire 6.6.0
I have a backup job running every night. The backup backs data from ReadyNAS' internal storage to a attached eSATA storage and upon the finish of the job it auto eject the eSATA storage. Next day, I connect another eSATA storage and ReadyNAS would recognize the device automatically. My issue is the auto recognizing works for a few days and then it stop working and I have to restart the ReadyNAS to get it working. When the auto recognizing quit working, it won't recognize newly attached USB storage.
I am wondering if there is a way to fix the issue without have to restart ReadyNAS device? Any suggestion would be appreciated.
Thanks, Michael. I will try this next time when it happens. Me too don't want try the beta firmware on our production environment. Let's looking forward to the next update.
Regards,
Dennis

Hi dwmzhou,
Welcome to the community.
I think this is a know issue on this firmware. If you are willing to, kindly use the beta firmware:
ReadyNASOS 6.6.1-T220 (Beta 3)

I have the exact same issue on my RN204, snd I havre to disconnect and then reconnect maybe 3 or 4 times, until the sees the USB3 drive.
I don't want to install beta software, so I am thinking about just doing a reboot everyday until the issue is fixed.
