RN202 extremely slow on small files
Coming from Synology I was hoping for a better OS (I really don't need all the functions Synology offers) and a faster NAS I purchased a ReadyNAS RN202. It did very well in tests, but now I'm trying ...

There are multiple folders and folders within folders.
It's still copying, over 50 hours and counting.

How many files are in a typical folder? How many files in the largest folder?

I really don't understand what that has to do with anything, if I copy small files it seems to do only one at a time and one file takes a few seconds. If you multiply a few seconds bij 300.000 it takes way longer than it should.
My current e-mail backup contains:
20.2GB
306.940 files
31 folders
Folder address 2 files few kb
Folder attachments 14.926 files 4.7gb
Folder cache 288.412 files 4.19gb
Folder mail 21 subfolders, 3570 files, 12gb
And some mores small files/folders
It just should not be so slow, the old Synology (also a 2 bay NAS) wasn't so slow on small files (but it wasn't that fast on big files either), same pc. same backup, same drives, same cables.
