RN204 time machine
Hi guys, i'm currently trying to figure this out but can't seem to. I have a rn204 with three 4tb hard drives. One drive is labelled as mine, the second is labelled as my wife's, and I just put in the 3rd drive and have labelled it as time machine. the first drive (mine) has the home folders. The drive setup is as JBOD.
I've selected time machine under backup, created two users ( my wife and I) and have set the maximum amount of storage allowed. It is however, using the 1st drive (mine) as the backup drive and not the completely empty 4tb as I would like. Any suggestions on how I can fix this? Thanks for the help.

Hello bbyf16,
When you use JBOD and have multiple disks inserted, it creates one volume for each disk and accessing the NAS IP via any CIFS, AFP or FTP will not allow you to see which disk you are accessing. Unfortunately, there is no way for to select which drive you want Time Machine to back up. Time Machine uses the default volume of the NAS.
You might want to consider posting it as a suggestion instead at the Idea Exchange board.
