- tigertenApr 21, 2023LuminaryYou do know the default Debian repo expired. Once factory reset, it will go back to default. You will have to add the work-around source:
Deb [trusted=yes] http://archive. Debian.org.
Or create local repo, to be safer.
Or
You may have to find and manually install the dependencies.
There are instructions for workaround in recent posts.- FrustratedMeApr 21, 2023Aspirant
No, I didn't know they expired.
i'm not familiar with what and how to do.
Would you kindly point to that post ans I'll try to follow.
Btw, thank you for your replies, I appreciate it.
Right now I was reading this post where it kinda expalined where Wheezy or Jessie went.
(i'm not even sure if this is the correct wording)

i prefer to follow the directions from this forum rather than to sail waters I don't know.

See here: How-I-got-apt-update-and-install-to-work-with-Debian-Jessie . I do not know if that will allow you to install from the GUI (since you cannot answer Y if it asks about installing from an outdated source), but it will work for standard and ReadyNAS-specific .deb packages installed from SSH. But since most ReadyNAS-specific apps (including the one you are trying to install) are years old, just as is the Debian distro on which the OS based), you typically don't want to be using those ReadyNAS-specific ones, anyway.
