Installation of Logitech Media Server 7.7.5 fails on ReadyNAS NVX
I have a ReadyNAS NVX (Model RNDX4250) on which I have been using Logitech Media Server (formerly Squeezecenter) for some 6 years. I was experiencing some difficulties in syncing the software with iTunes (though I have been doing so for the last 6 years also) so I decided to upgrade the media server software to the latest version i.e. 7.7.5.
I followed the instructions in this knowledgebase article: http://support.logitech.com/en_gb/article/17012.
Having completed the update process I now find that I no longer have Squeezecenter (or Logitech Media Server if you will) listed under Services > Streaming Services. So now I'm completely stuffed and unable to use any of my Squeezebox devices!
Any ideas, please?

Understood. I have raised a new topic entitled: "LMS iTunes integration failing under version 7.9".
As for the solution to my installation problem I believe it was twofold:
a) Need to update RAIDiator to 4.2.30.
b) Need to use LMS version 7.9.

What about 7.9?
I guess it's possible new builds haven't been tested on the NVX. The NVX is 32-bit whereas the Pro is 64-bit.
Or the issue could be something else. Does everything else work fine?
Which firmware are you running?

1, "What about 7.9?" - If I go to http://www.mysqueezebox.com/download and choose "Netgear ReadyNAS Pro/Ultra/NVX" it gives me version 7.7.5.
2. Everything else on the NVX was, and is working fine.
3. I'm using RAIDiator 4.2.26. I've tried upgrading to 4.2.30 but when I upload and verify the image I receive the error: "Update file is not valid for this architecture". (The zip file was downloaded from http://downloadcenter.netgear.com/, for product RNDX4250.)
4. I meant to mention that the NVX log shows that the new version of Squeezecenter was successfully installed. However it stil does not show in the list of Streaming Services.
