I think you've discovered that defrag is triggering bad behavior in AV.
Personally I wouldn't trust the AV at the moment (though the errors posted seem to be mostly involving false positives).
Another option is to use a PC AV package that supports scanning of network shares, and use that for now. Though it will have some performance impact, since it is running over the network.

Thanks for the suggestion.
AV and defrag are definitely interacting in an undesireable way. What causes what is not within my ability to discern. I hope someone who has that ability is looking at this issue.
