RN316 stuck in Boot Menu
Hello!
Relating to posts:
https://community.netgear.com/t5/Using-your-ReadyNAS-in-Business/ReadyNAS-314-stuck-on-quot-Boot-Menu-quot/td-p/2056714
https://kb.netgear.com/23005/How-do-I-access-the-boot-menu-on-my-ReadyNAS-316-516-716
I cannot continue to choose options after I have entered the boot menu. The thouch pad is responding with light flicker, but no menu response.
I do not think the reset button is stuck, since it boots normally without beeing pressed.
Any and all ideas are much apprecited.
My final goal is to factory reset the unit.
Merry hollidays and happy new year.

Yes, it does. Except some log is filling the system partition. This prevents the system from running normally. If you can log into the web ui, there is a factory default control in system->settings->update. So you could see if that works.
Another path is to connect the disks to a Windows PC, and either erase them with vendor tools, or unformat them using the Windows Disk Manager. Then put them back into the NAS and power up. The NAS should automatically do a factory install if you power up with blank disks.

- KristianlAspirantYes, it does. Except some log is filling the system partition. I found posts about it, but none applicable to me right now. This prevents the system from running normally. Hence the rebuild from factory state. All data is backed up, so no worry there. Just a lot of time consumption.
