RN516 No Boot Menu, Model error and Touchpad not work
Hello, I have a RN51600 with three problems. No boot menu I press and hold the reset button, the system powers on. Continue to press the reset button for three minutes, however the status disp...

I suspect somebody created a hybrid. RDD516 board in an RN516 chassis. Since they look identical, they likely didn't realize the problems it would create. It may even be that if you create a volume on another OS6 system that you can move to this hybrid and it will mostly work.

The boot problem seems to be disk-related, since it does work with your test disk. I suggest trying to boot with your test disk in each of the 6 slots, just to confirm that all bays are functional. I guess the boot problem could also be power related (as 6 disks require more power than one).
Some of the issues could be due to a corrupt eeprom (that is where the model information comes from). You'd need help from Netgear to fix that. Sometimes the mods will do it as a courtesy, other times you need paid support. Perhaps give DaneA, JohnCM_S, Marc_V a chance to chime in.

Thank you for your suggestions.
First I try to exchange the power supply inside the RN316, And update the fireware again. Second I test disk in each of the 6 slots.

You might want to wait for others to chime on - both the mods, and possibly Sandshark and mdgm

I used to work for NETGEAR.
The good news is that you have the latest BIOS for your system. The wrong model being shown and that surviving a factory reset would seem to suggest either you or someone else manually reprogrammed the unit into thinking it's a ReadyDATA at some point or there's something very weird going on. Nothing in a firmware update or a factory default or anything changes that automatically. It has to be done manually and what's more on every OS6 some (extremely old firmware) or all (most OS6 firmware releases) of the things needed to make the change are not included in the firmware image.
In my experience when a ReadyNAS 516 thinks it's a ReadyDATA 516 the OS6 boot menu not working and the touchpad not working are normal.
I'm guessing your bios_ver.log will show ReadyDATA in it.
This is not a problem that USB Boot Recovery would fix and despite what it may seem it's actually a very different problem to corrupt EEPROM on systems that shipped with RAIDiator-x86 4.2.x.
There may be no problems whatsoever with the internal flash in your system.

Thank you. It is a good news there is no hardware damage.
I just exchange the mainboard between RN316 and RN516.
I format 1x500GB drive and 1x1TB drive via PC DiskGenius, delete all partitions.
Power off the RN516, put 1x500GB drive and 1x1TB drive in the first slot and the second slot.Power on RN516, update the lastest firmware 6.10.5 img via the website, all is the same.
Add one thing
HDMI monitor shows nothing with 6.10.5 after boot. Only 6.6.1 HDMI monitor shows terminal as the same as RN316.
