RND4000v2 Dlna Not Working
Hi Guys just throwing it out there, i have the V2 with Arm 5.3.3 its been replaced with a new unit for the same reason but i am unable to get the DLNA working for more than about 15 seconds before it dissapears from site, if the slider is moved off then back on it shows up it will play but for around 15seconds and can only be viewed one folder up from the root, if its in 2 folders deep it will not show any of the songs movies ect. at this point i think i have wasted my money on a disfunctional unit as it also has no ftp service on it making basically impossible to now access it from a droid phone, i have very limited knowledge on these i just basically wanted to use it for a home streaming unit and somthing i could grab a song or file off on the run. Any Ideas before i lose all my hair? Cheers.

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredHere's a suggestion to help isolate the cause of the issue:
VLC is a free media player available for Windows, Mac and Linux and now includes a DLNA client (as of version 2.0). Could you install VLC 2.0 or later (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) on your PC/Mac then do a direct-connection between your PC/Mac and the NAS: How to Direct Connect to your ReadyNAS
Does VLC connect to ReadyDLNA fine? - Grasshopper1Aspirantdl vlc direct connected raidar found ok tryed to connect via stream option in vlc with no luck
OK so i got a direct connection to the samsung tv, no problems through the switch, but as soon as the router got reconnected then bang its gone,,, thanks so much so i just have to now chase down whats doing it but the rescan was brilliant thanks...........
Ok Problem solved, Is the Tivo box, disconnect it and it works perfect thankyou very much!! Ledgend :D
Now i just have to figure out how to keep the tivo connected to the network without interfearing with the nas's dlna...
