RND4410 V3 upgradeable?
My brother has an RND4410 V3 which currently has 4X1Tb drives in it. He no longer wants it. I am just wondering if I buy it off of him, can I upgrade the drives to something like 4x2, 4x3, or 4x4?

From a platform perspective he has a NV+ v1. Check this guide if you want to confirm: http://www.rnasguide.com/2012/01/09/how-to-tell-whether-i-have-a-duo-v1-or-duo-v2-or-nv-v1-or-nv-v2/
The labels are confusing, but all NAS running 4.1.x firmware are v1 SPARC platforms.
His NAS can run 4x2TB, but nothing larger. If it is in good condition, it appears to have a value between $100 and $150 (just looking at ebay for -100NAS numbers).
A new RN104 supports 4x4TB drives, is 3x faster, and can be found for $260 US.
