Rndp4000 doensn't starting

You can try first removing the hard drives from the chassis (Note: Label the drives with its corresponding bay before removing the drives) and see if you will get the same behavior on the NAS. If it is still the same, then it is definitely an issue with the chassis already.

If you are planning to replace the chassis, you can mount the hard drives from your RNDP4000 to our new OS6 models. There are additional steps that you need to do before you can mount them because of the differences in CPU architecture and operating system between RAIDiator and the ReadyNAS OS6. You may check this link for the procedure.

You can also use 3rd party data recovery software. Some members used Reclaime for data recovery. You may wait for other Community members for suggestions on what data recovery software you can use.

ReClaime will work, but it is expensive. If you are running 4.2.x firmware on the NAS (that is, you haven't converted it to run OS 6), then R-Studio is much less expensive and should do the job.

If you buy a replacement x86 ReadyNAS (RN300 or above) then you can also temporarily mount your array in the new NAS, offload the data, and then complete the setup. It will need to reformat the disks - so you would need restore the data from the backup when you are done.

If you have converted your Pro4 to OS6, then you can simply move the drives to a new OS6 NAS.

One other option is to configure a cable to temporarilly connect a standard ATX supply to your NAS. There is a pin swap-out that needs to occur, it's not just a standard 20-pin ATX connection, though it uses the same connector. Your Pro4 uses the same pin-out as for the NV in this diagram: ReadyNAS_PSU_pinout.pdf .
