I'll add my own situation as it overlaps. I added the same Seagate Drive to replace a failing drive on my ReadyNas NV+ (V1). The drive resynced only to fail the next day. From there, that threw my whole NAS into failure mode. The new Seagate drive works fine on my laptop and desktop...also works fine if I reboot the NAS with only that drive plugged in as the OS will re-install and everything is fine. What's up ReadyNAS team? I will post a separate post for my specific issue. Just wanted to add my 2 cents here as it's the same drive that started my own nightmare.
