I have found an explanation of why the ST2000DM001 drives come up as dead in the NV+. I recently bought one as a replacement and slotted it in. It synced and ran as it should for a day. Next day the NAS said it was dead. Took it out reformatted it on a PC with no issues. Tried it again in the NAS, it resynced nicely and was dead the next day. When looking through the logs i found that it died almost exactly the same time, 04.00. It seems that the NAS does some kind of integrity check in the middle of the night and that test kills the ST2000DM001. Not sure how I will proceed. Change drive or wait for a Radiator update?
