Just because the LED is lit on the supply does not mean it is supplying sufficient voltage and power to the NAS, yo could determine if it maybe just needs a new supply. But to answer your question, no, there is no separate power module in the Ultra2, nor are parts available from Netgear. There are ways to use a PC to recover the files, Netgear can help you recover them with a newer model NAS, or you could get any of the legacy Intel based units to swap your drives into, as long as it is still running OS 4.2.x.
Thanks, found another power supply today that puts out 12V and 5A but the NAS will not wake up.... So seems to be something more complicated unfortunately.
