what firmware are you running?
Are you getting to the username/password prompt?

It's running OS 4, I do get the user/password prompt but the default password doesn't seem to work.

Is RAIDar giving you any useful status (version 6.5 is ok for this)
Also, please confirm that you are browsing to https://nas-ip-address/admin (using the real IP address of course). You do need to explicitly enter the /admin suffix.
Do you have the add-on for TLS 1.2 support installed?

Thank you so much for your time; unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work even with the /admin suffix; I've tried all these logins: https://kb.netgear.com/1148/What-are-the-default-user-interface-passwords-for-NETGEAR-devices
Raider looks like "I gott skick" which means "in good condition."
I don't have any addon for tls 1.2, but I'm able to bypass the invalid certificate, so that shouldn't be the issue. I would greatly appreciate any ideas.

No. Most browsers no longer connect using TLS 1.0 - you'd get an SSL version or Cipher mismatch error, and not an certificate error. You can manually configure firefox to connect with TLS 1.0. Or use internet explorer (or edge in IE mode).
What browser are you using (including the version)?

4.2.x firmware defaults to "admin" as the username and "netgear1" as the password. If those aren't working, then either you didn't do the OS reinstall correctly, or there is something else wrong with the web server running in the NAS.
Do you have a backup of the files on the NAS?
