RNDU4000 - OS Reinstall, fix frontview and various other problems
model: RNDU4000, firmware 4.2.28 Hi All, I recently had an: "ERR: Could not find internal fla" I fixed it with the "USB Restore flash" guide and it appeared to be working normally ... ...

Okay ... Tried what I beleive is everything, found the (afaik) original .deb files from "/var/cache/apt/archives/" and executed "apt-get -i *.deb" in that directory, manually "apt-get install"'ed the oldest versions, took a chance, rebooted the nas - and presto - now everything works ...
So ... note to self .. dont "apt-get upgrade" blindlessly :o)
If you for some reason deleted the files from "/var/cache/apt/archives/" then "Factory Default" might be the only solution ...

It shouldn't remove users, change permissions, or delete data. But I agree with the advice to back up the NAS first.
It might not fix the problems (my guess is that it won't). You likely will need a factory reset (which deletes everything).
