rsync - is it only needed on the destination?
I noticed that some of my shares that hasn't got rsync enabled got copied by rsync to the destination, when making a backup of Volume C. The destination USB drive/share has got rsync enabled.

Thanks, yes I am using rsync on my NAS and backing up to an external USB drive.
Can rsync be switched of for all shares execpt destination? And will the backup job still work?
Could that create other problems with handling the nas?
I see that some of you use a different terminology, for my case > source ~ server and destination ~ client.
