RSync backup fails when Path field used #19015561
ReadyNAS Duo V2 5.3.5
Am happily backing up my ReadyNAS to an online storage provider via ReadyNAS RSync
http://www.onlinestoragesolution.com (Very cheap by the way!)
All seems to work fine...or so I thought .... I noticed that my four backup jobs are all defaulting to the root folder.
Example:
Share: ANDYTEST
Subfolders: Andytest/Test1, ANDYTEST/Test2
Source: Share ANDYTEST
Destination -
Host: 64.64.131.118
Path: [Left Blank]
Login: andy
Password: password
Backup runs fine, however Test1 and Test2 sit in my RSYNC folder on the server with no ANDYTEST.
ok, so I will insert my destination path and it should be fine right?
Host: 64.64.131.118
Path: andytest
Login: andy
Password: password
But the backup fails!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
INCREMENTAL Backup started. Thu Jul 19 10:31:12 GMT 2012
Job: ANDYTEST
Protocol: rsync
Source: [ANDYTEST]/
Destination: 64.64.131.118::andytest
@ERROR: Unknown module 'andytest'
rsync error: error starting client-server protocol (code 5) at main.c(1534) [sender=3.0.9]
Backup failed. Thu Jul 19 10:31:13 GMT 2012.
-------------------------------------------------------
Now if I insert my RSync provider username in the Path field it works fine:
Host: 64.64.131.118
Path: andy
Login: andy
Password: password
...but it still saves only to the root "Rsync" folder on the destination.
Is it me or is there a fault with the path field?
Tried all sorts of combinations such as andy::andytest etc in pathfield, slashes, :'s , no joy.
Any ideas appreciated.
