Rsync backup not delete files on target

Hi

I have a drive on a Windows Server 2012 machine that is running DeltaCopy.

I have a RN312 on OS 6.4.2 with a rsync backup configured to back up the share (which is the root of the drive) to the local NAS.

I then go into the settings - advanced tab - and tick the 'Remove deleted files on target'.

I also add '/$RECYCLE.BIN' and '/System Volume Information' as exclusions.

The first time is fine - there are a few errors but they are due to System Volume Information I think - even though its an exclusion.

But if I then delete a file on the source (the server) and run it again the file is not deleted on the target (the NAS).

Any suggestions??

Thanks

  • Which version of Rsync are you using with DeltaCopy? Have you tried copying a newer version of Rsync and other utilties from e.g. cygwin to the DeltaCopy directory?

Thanks. Got some new files from cwRsync and dropped them in the DeltaCopy directory.

That's fixed all but $RECYCLE.BIN still gets copied - but there are no errors so all is good.

      Thanks again :)
