Rsync disconnects my external USB drive

FYI, Rsync is now working to the Share folders. However, I set it for each individual share rather than all shares. Here are my settings:
Step 1:
Drop down: Home Share: John
Step 2:
Drop down: Remote: Rsync Server
Host: 172.28.1.11
Path: USB_HDD_1/John
Remove deleted files on targe is checked/enabled.

My external USB drive stays connected even after the job completes. My next goal is to set up a backup job for my PCs that uses Rsync rather than the built in copy command. Although, I'm not in much of a hurry since I have Acronis True Image. :D
