Rsync fails - How to Reset Permissions on a USB Drive?
Hi, ReadyNas 312 Firmware 6.1.9 Rsync fails due to Error = failed: Read-only file system (30) (on USB drive) Silly part is the original backup was using Rsync however when I plug the USB drive back...
There should be no need to reset file permissions for USB drives.
Perhaps you could backup the data on the USB disk and format it again and see if you run into the issue again?
If you still run into the issue then I do think you should possibly consider changing to using EXT4
If you download the logs what is the date in bios_ver.log ?
