Rysnc test connection fails when path specified
OK - thanks to some of the other postings (mainly sdouek on 8 April 2011 :D ), I managed to configure my NAS Ultra 4+ (aka "Collective") using NFS to pull over all my video files from my NAS Duo (aka ...
OK, problem solved! I just spent about an hour online with Netgear tech support. Here's what we had to do to fix the problem:
Had to go back to Services/Standard File Protocols, Rsync. Then uncheck, apply, recheck, and then appy again on both the Duo and the Ultra. Then everything worked, including the test connection with full path name, as well as the incremental backup. Why we had to do that, I don't know (and don't really care), but I am one happy camper! :wiggle: Hopes this helps someone.
