There are no replacement parts available for purchase, Your best option would be to purchase a used NV+ V2 with a working Backplane.
Sandshark and other members might be able to advice on this matter.
You need to make sure you have a V2 - You can check here.

You have confirmed my suspicions - not available - and well done in decipering my original post! That last part was a bit garbled - some bad editing on my part...
I definitely have the V2 - it's running RAIDiator 5.3.
I did get hold of an earlier ReadyNAS in the hope that the backplane might be the same, but the older one had the block connector where the power connects from the power supply unit. The V2 has an external PSU and the backplane has no such connector.
This old one was sold cheaply with four hard drives as spares or repair. To cut a long story short, after a good stripdown and cleanup, I did a factory reset and it works fine although two of the drives were faulty. I'm going to use this one as a backup.
