Scheduled Backup With Overwrite
Hi I searched for the forum but didn't find what I was looking for. I wish to backup my desktop at regular intervals but I do not want to keep all the backups. My desktop is synced with the ...
Acronis can certainly do this, though its backups are all to the same folder (each in separate TIB files).
I have it set up to create a clean backup every 8 weeks (deleting prior copies), and then do incremental backups until the next 8 week period. There are lots of other ways to set it up.
With frontview backup, you can set up a chain of backups that would also do what you want as well.
Every Monday, copy backup-3 to backup-4
Every Tuesday copy backup-2 to backup-3
Every Wednesday copy backup-1 to backup-2
Every Thursday run a new PC backup to backup-1.
This would take a lot more space than Acronis of course.
