Secure diagnostic mode vs. tech support mode

I'm assuming these are effectively the same thing other than the fact that the nas is usable while in secure diagnostic mode and not in tech support mode.
Are then any potential problems if a user is accessing files while in secure diagnostic mode?

Secure diagnostic mode (formerly known as Remote Access SSH) is run while the NAS is running normally, whereas tech support mode is a low-level debug mode.

It's possible that the system may crash during troubleshooting via secure diagnostic mode but we do our best to avoid that.

Secure diagnostic mode can be useful for seeing the problem in action which may be harder/impossible via tech support mode. It is also useful for confirming that a problem has been fixed.

Some problems can only be fixed via tech support mode.

Both tech support mode and secure diagnostic mode are useful.
