Security mode from user to domain issue

Dear all,

I want to change the security mode from user to Domain.

The actual users added manually are not a domain users.

And i want to allow access to some different users in the domain to get in all the shares.

When i change to domain mode : should i create the local users in the domain or can i put them as a local users in the NAS and allow access for Domain users to the shares at the same time ?

Thank you for the help

  • Hi marouen,

If you will switch to domain mode, ensure that your users/groups have been created on your domain server. To configure the permission on the shares, review this article

Take note that all your manually created local ReadyNAS users won't be available for use.

    Kind regards,
