I am able to reproduce your issue, and we've got a fix ready. If you update to 6.6.0, then enable Secure Diagnostics Mode and PM me the 5-digit number, I can get your system patched.

Moving disks around is not going to help and if anything will make troubleshooting more difficult. The parity is distributed amongst all the disks. Can you send in your logs (see the Sending Logs link in my sig)?

Great, Thanks for responding... I can't get to the Logs.. Yes.. but I'm sure within 2 days I can.
Unless you want to me unplug the unit.

The Activity light is still on & the ReadyNAS page is not responding - - SO, Hopefully it's still working !!
Normally the first 24 hours the activity ilght still works.
The 2nd day it may or may not freeze up, ALWAYS the 3rd day it freezes.

Odd thing, When I first bought the ReadyNAS 214 .. March 2016
and I First created the RAID-5 .. I could ALWAYS access the webpage.
This time when I Destroyed & Created the RAID-6 + Encryption I could not access..
Then It froze, I Destroyed & Created the RAID-6 with No Encryption.. I STILL could not access the webpage.
.
But anyways.. UNLESS You tell me to Unplug, I'll wait a day or 2 to freeze up.

RAIDar might let you download the logs even if the web ui isn't responding.

Thanks for responding to my Community post for help.
I bought a 4th WD 3TB HD ( same as the other 3 HD’s)
since 9-21-2016 Twice I’ve tried creating Raid 6 with encryption & it kept freezing up
then I tried Twice to just do a Raid 6 with NO encryption.
Both time the 3rd day the activity light stops blinking, RAIDar nor ui Web won’t connect at all.
I’ve tried from my New MacBook Pro & old Windows PC.
Firmware is UTD.
Several days ago I did a ping and it did return 5 responses.
When it freezes holding the power button does NOTHING.
I bought this RN214 March 2016 and it’s worked Perfect with the 3 - 3TB’s.
I only created a Raid 5 one time and I had complete access to the ui Web when it
was creating the volume.
I’m not sure why NOTHING seems to work now.
Every time I start the Volume creation it states 46+ hours, when it freezes on the
3rd day and I have HARD reboot it automatically picks up and says 25+ hours left.
I hope you can find something in the Logs to help.
Other info : R8500 Nighthawk Router, 2016 Macbook Pro,

I guess I'll let the reboot, volume creation continue until I hear from you or it locks up again.
Maybe we need to Reverse the Firmware to the RN214 original, ( where it created the Raid5 perfectly)
do the Raid 6.. then update the Firmware.
But.. is my 3 month old RN214 broken ??

The Reboot > automatic Restart of the new RAID 6 creation has Froze up
with a " - - - Out of Memory 354 " error msg again.
I've got this error before when I let the Reboot restart the Raid 6.
.
When I Destroy & start a new volume there's no error msg, just a Freeze up.
