Share Access error:"The paths for the shares listed below could not be found",

Hi

Please can you help!

My ReadyNas no longer allows me access to my shares,(all my files!) Im getting the following from the logs:

Jan 6 19:01:27 NAS RAIDiator: The paths for the shares listed below could not be found. Typically, this occurs when the ReadyNAS is unable to access the data volume.\n\nEmma_Photo\nreadydrop\nMACFolder\nMusic\nvault\nmedia\nMACuseful_Info\nPhotos\nbackup\n\n

I Can

  • Fully Access the web interface of the NAS (using RAIDar)
  • I can see all of my share folders under the "Shares" TAB
  • See to access them from the web interface , and nothing happens
  • I can see the "Share" folders on my Windows (NW Locations) and my MAC (Finder), I believe therefore I have no nw access issues
  • When I try to see the contents of my share folders (the files I need) I get "Not accessible , The NW name cannot be found" on both MAC and PC

I Have

  • Run the OS Reinstall
  • Memory Test
  • Rebooted (several times)

The unit has 4x 3TB drives, aprox 57% used, In DEC there were growing disk errors on disk 3 , this was replaced Jan 5th. I ran seatools on the old disk 3 to look for errors, however none found.

I dont have a backup of my data, (I know, silly thing not too)  is there any way to access these files?, I have spare HDD's I just need access to the folders on the NAS to offload them, and then rebuild the NAS from Scratch at that stage.?

Looks like you've encountered a multiple disk failure condition. If your backup is up to date you could open a support case and ask about data recovery.

        Hi

Doesnt look like a disk failure to be honest, One Disk with some errors, granted, but all 4 are showing as Disk Health.png
