Cant believe it took me this long! I have figured it out. The first one was timemachine being announced (very odd!), so i changed the file in /etc/avahi/services/timemachine.service to timemachine.service.disabled.
Timemachine still works fine, but no longer being announced. CIFS also running, but not announced. The only one is AFP (all macs here at the moment!)
