Hi mhoehne,
Welcome to the community!
Downgrading the firmware from 6.4.0 to 6.2.x is not recommended. Have you tried using the latest Beta Firmware 6.4.1-T29 (Beta 2)?
Let us know if this helps.
Kind regards,
BrianL

Hi BrianL,
thanks. I hope I have the Beta2 image. I have doublecheck that I have the T29 from saturday and the RN10 shows the T29 build. Do we have other indicators/checkpoints to check , which T29 build (1 or 2) I have? With T29 I have the same issues.
regards Marcel

Hi mhoehne,
Thanks for responding. Have you experienced the same using other file sharing protocols like SMB and AFP?
Kind regards,

Hi BrianL,
sorry for late response, but it seems that I don't get any information on answers on my topic.
I checked yesterday the SMB file transfer bandwith and the speed is appr. 24 MB/sec sequentiell copy. On FTP i have interruptions at transfer. Typically i store VM backups on Neatgear and this files have a size of 70GB. The interrupt occurs at appr. 70% copy, but in several cases(tries) at the same point. After updating to 6.4.0 also the power down initiated with Powerbutton doesn't work. Shutdown via Android App works.
I want to go back to 6.2.5. but downgrading via local FW update doesn't work. What are the riska to go back to 6.2.5 via USB recovery tool? I don't use Snapshots or Quota . Does 6.4.0 change anything in the filesystem? Does my data are availabale if I go back with USB recovery? Do I have a absoluto showstopper to go back?
regards Marcel

When I first made the update to 6.4 I had timeout problems with rsync jobs. The same backups did run without problems with 6.2.5 before. I also got the problem described here, that the access with cifs is extreamly slow and after a while I noticed that those problems of slow access related to some folders where its reproducible. Deleting and recopying those directories didn't help as far as I tested. I assume that the two problems, slow access and rsync timeouts are related. For my use of ReadyNas the problem is crucial, the NAS can not be used normally. I really hope that there will be ready a solution soon and that Netgear will give an answer to the question above, how to downgrade to the usable version 6.2.5.
I can't understand that Netgear doesn't help immediately when users get such serious problems.
