Slow "internal" transfers [duo v2]
I just bought the Duo 2 and struggle with extremly slow transfers. I use transmission to download files to c/media easily, but when I want to move the files around to different folders I only get 3-4mb/s. Really dont understand why as this should go instantly?
I use Win xp and just drag and drop the files with Windows Explorer. Ive also tried with the nas remote, but experience the same problem.
Ive tried different file types and sizes and everyone but one takes forever to move.
Any suggestions?

- namcoAspirantI get the same transferrates with USB -> NAS and NAS <-> PC over the wireless network.
- jeapie38TutorI get the same poor performance with my ReadyNAS Duo when dragging & dropping files between 2 internal NAS folders : no more than 1 Mb/s in CIFS protocol !
However, performance options are on : disk write cach enabled, full data journaling disabled.
No explination ? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredYou're copying the files to your PC then back to the NAS.
5.3.5 should have a fix that enables you to login to CIFS (e.g. \\ip.address.of.nas) as admin and move files within the C share. - namcoAspirantDo I really have to wait for a new firmware for this to go faster? Shouldt this work out of the box? Im going to get totally insane over this. Soooo slow.
edit: And why can I move the 4.5 GB mpeg-4 file instantly wherever I want on the NAS but not other stuff? - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredIf you are moving a file within a share then it'll move instantly. If you move it between shares then it'll have to copy to your PC then back to the NAS again.

First, copy & Paste between shares isn't possible on http or web mode, only on CIFS or windows mode.
Secondly, move of files within a share is instantaneous only on web mode (no transit via PC), not on windows, but 1Mb/s isn't normal : Technical Support is looking at system logs. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredWell it feels pretty much instantaneous to me if you move within a share. Moving between different shares is where it has to copy to the PC then back to the NAS again. That's where having the ability to login to CIFS as the "admin" user comes in handy.
