SMB not working any more after 6.5.0 upgrade
After having upgraded my ReadyNas, I can't access anymore to any of the SMB shares. I backed up all data, reinstall OS, performed a factory reset and recreated shares. I also deleted all NAS-rela...

Hello and Thank you JennC, I found the solution : I deleted all the netgear entries in Windows identities management, and created a new one with the right credentials. Everything went instantly fine.
My shares were all allowed an anonymous access, but it was impossible to reach the NAS neither trhough its DNS name nor through its IP address. All of these operations are now ok.

Hello Hans45,
What's the operating system of the computer you are using to access the NAS shares via SMB?
Try setting at least one share's SMB permission to Allow anonymous access and access the NAS shares \\ followed by the NAS IP. Once you are able to get in to the share, go back to the root directory and try opening other shares.
Can you also log out the ReadyCloud desktop client then access the NAS shares locally?

Can you please elaborate step by step on how you deleted all the netgear entries in Windows identities management, and created a new one with the right credentials?
I have been on a wild goos chase since June 17th when I can no longer map the NAS as network drives. I can get to them via ip (https://192.168.1.xx/admin/), but they are no longer visible as drives, hence my Plex is not able to read them...
Thanks,

Hello motamedd,
Control Panel > Credential Manager or if that is in category view, Control Panel > User Accounts and Family Safety > Credential Manager. Then click Windows Credentials and once you see the IP address or hostname of the NAS then remove the stored login.

Thanks for the removal instructions. I just did that, but there is no change in system behavior. You did not provide instructions for creating a new credential so I entered "//192.168.1.16/share" along with username and password. No solved yet. Will reboot next and try to see if that helps.
