snapshots in shares not working on my ReadyNAS 314
I enabled hourly snapshots in both of my only two home folders. I now see a "snapshot" directory in each of these shares. However, no snapshots are being created. I have had snapshots enabled for all of my non-home folders for several months and they have been working just fine. I tried creating a new user and then created a home folder for that user by logging in via CIFS and then enabled snapshopts for that user and the snapshots work. (As an aside, I find it very odd that the user directory is not created upon user creation and requires a CIFS login).
Executing the command "snapper list-configs" shows my snapper configs and the two original home folders are missing from the list but all the others are there.
How can I debug this? I can't seem to find any detailed snapper logs (assuming that would be helpful).
The folders for those two users are not home shares created by the system but rather folders you created manually somehow. That's why snapshots aren't working on them.

On which firmware did you set this unit up?
Manually creating the snapper config for those two home shares should resolve this.
Sent you a PM.- kenalkerAspirant
It came with 6.1.8 and I upgraded to 6.2.2. immediately and have since upgraded several times. I upgraded to 6.4.2 this morning. I'd be happy to get you the complete chain of upgrade history, if that helps.
Is there somewhere that explains why I'd need to create the config manually? I've having another problem that MAY be related, and understanding exactly why this is happening may solve the other issue.
