Snow Leopard and AFP issue NV+ 4.1.8

Hi all. I started having general problems with AFP in the last couple of weeks. I have an NV+ running 4.1.8. I upgraded it to that last week, in the hope that it would resolve the AFP problem first...

Does anyone have an opinion on the pros and cons of going backward to 4.1.7?
