Snow Leopard and AFP issue NV+ 4.1.8
Hi all. I started having general problems with AFP in the last couple of weeks. I have an NV+ running 4.1.8. I upgraded it to that last week, in the hope that it would resolve the AFP problem first...

I just purchased a NV+ and loaded it up and I cannot access any share folders. The NAS is connected via Ethernet to a dumb switch and my iMac running OSX 10.6.8 is connected to my switch via Ethernet. I can see the shared folder when connected as a guest, but I get a similar error saying "Connection failed" and then something about the item it refers too not being there. So i decided to try and connect as the "admin" user and now I can see only the "home" directory and I can copy files to and from that, but my other share directory "media" is not even displayed anymore.
Seriously considering returning this Netgear and buying a Thecus. I have set a few of them up over time and they all work perfectly. I setup a ReadyNAS Duo just a week ago and it works perfectly as well. So I am stumped as to how I can setup other Netgear NAS units but this one won't work, almost rules out user error.
Any ideas on how to resolve would be appreciated.
Cheers,
Ben.
