Speed dealing with Folder with thousands of subfolders
So this is super general, but I have a ReadyNAS Duo 2150, the old one, and it's main use is serving music to my Macbook Air. It's painfully slow when say, playing one song and then doing anything else...
I'm not using the web interface for anything currently. I just have my iTunes music folder stored on the NAS and play it from iTunes. So it's not "streaming", just playing from the NAS. I add and delete songs way too often to simply stream from the NAS using Firefly. And yes, it's connected to my Airport Extreme via ethernet and I access it via wifi, but that really shouldn't be the issue.
