squeezebox server 7.6.0 issues
guys just installed squeezebox server 7.6.0 on my readynas ultra and done a rescan, now i can not see any of my music apart from 1 album
i followed the instruction and removed the old version and ran squeezeclean before and after evry step but i still get the same, anyone got any ideas :(
during the scan of my music folder it can see there is a large number of files to be scanned but at the end of it i still only get the 1 album.
never had any such issue before with previous versions

- prometheus1Aspirantjust checked out the logitech forum and it seems i am not the only one with issues, i suggest people leave this version alone until its sorted
- WhoCares_MentorWhat you can do is:
- Fire up the Squeezebox interface
- Change into the "Music" section
- Click on any directory that is listed there
=> The Album/Artist/Titles will *now* show up in your global library, searches, whatever. To get your whole library back repeat the above for every directory with music files in it. And pray you don't have a lot of them ...
-Stefan - dudeegAspirantYes, same issue here :(
The suggestion by WhoCares works, although it is quite uncomfortable...:(
Is there any official bug reporting possibility for SBS ReadyNAS port?
Gábor - bbaraniecLuminaryAs sad as it is I've learned the hard way never to get latest version of SBS right away. Unless you are prepared for stuff like this.
- dudeegAspirantThat's right. I've updated, because I haven't read any negative comments, and my friend is also using it with no issues.
The difference is that the majority -including my friend- is using the Windows version.
So probably this is an issue only on the NAS (which is strange from Logitech, because ReadyNAS is the only officially supported NAS. I would expect more testing from their side...) - prometheus1Aspirantgot it working now on my readynas, just make sure the music folder and the playlist folder are seperate. :slap:

And how can I do that? - bbaraniecLuminary

Most likely you have media share or any other where you are storing you music files.
For example I got:
\\Nas\Music\Albums - and there folder with artists, inside artist Albums
\\Nas\Music\Playlists - here are my all playlists - paulvkAspirant

For me, this doesn't work. I still have only two artists in my library; the artists I selected to play via the folder menu.
Maybe it takes a little time to index the replaced music, but this isn't a good start for setting up my new 'toy' (Squeezebox Radio). - sphardy1ApprenticeYou won't see any update to your music until the index is complete.
Check the Information tab in the SBS settings - it will show you the status of the music indexing
Ensure that the date/time reflects a rescan since you changed your setup
