Thanks for the prompt reply Stephen. Wasn't that but sorted now purely by chance. After my first post I lost Frontview content so did an OS reinstall. Then of course had to setup again and all is fine now. I think it was the LMS PC software failing to associate the folder first time around. The joys of being an IT novice - worth it for a great media system, though!
