Orbi 970 and Carrier Infinity Touch Thermostat Model SYSTXCCITC01-A do not talk
Up graded router to new obri 970 and now Carrier Infinity Touch thermostat will not get on line. Have tried loT and main networks. Still no luck.
- Read comments about a different thermostat and router and they used a $20 TP-link Access Point from amazon. TL-WA801N.Got it today and solved the challenge! Thanks all for the help!

When you setup the IoT network, what error did you get? Was your phone on the same IoT network when you went through setup?
I setup the loT network on my phone with the orbi apt
yes on the same network. message was : Unable to connect. Please check your password and network connectivity.

Is the new 970 system configured with exactly the same WiFi credentials as the previous system? (SSID/password).
My experience for 20 years has been that WiFi devices connect immediately whenever they detect a WiFi system that they recognize. Would be a real shock if installing the Netgear 970 did not work the same way.
What security mode do you have set on the IoT network? WPA2 and AES only? Temporarily set security to NONE. Then see if the device will connect in the open. Re-enable WPA2 and AES after testing.
What channels are you using on the RBR?

WPA2 only option . Turned to none and still no luck.
IF thats happening, then there is some incompatibility between these branded controllers and this Orbi system.
