Stora MS2110 disk transfer to alternative NAS
My NAS has died after several years service. I believe the controller has died as I cannot contact the NAS. The stora MS2110 is obsolete and not supported any more. Is there another NAS on the market I can hot swap my 2 x 1Tb discs into to recover my data and keep using my discs? Thanks

The Stora uses the XFS filesystem. There are some instructions on how to attempt data recovery here: http://www.openstora.com/wiki/index.php?title=Harddrive_Recovery
Note if there is a problem with the disks or with the filesystem on the disks then recovery attempts would become more complicated.
We use a different OS, different RAID format and different filesystem in the ReadyNAS so you can't simply move your disks across. You will need to attempt to recover your data first e.g. using a Linux machine. The ReadyNAS would need to wipe the disks (destroying all the data on them) to use them.If data is important it should be backed up. I would suggest that you backup your data in future.
