Streaming to Sony BDP-S590

Hi all, I'm a new user and have spent many hours ripping my DVD collection to my ReadyNAS NV+ v2. It took some time to find the correct format but now works well, however I have deleted a number of video files due to language, sub-titles or screen format and re-ripped. When I view the video files from my laptop the directory structure is good and each video file is in its own directory, but when I view the files using the Sony player some files are in their sub-directory and some are not and there are a number of (null) directories. Also after ripping around a hundred DVD's the Sony player won't see any more films. Any/all suggestions welcome Ade
